Rachel Bedford
(Charlotte Rampling) osserva un'orca uccidere uno squalo bianco. Si dedica quindi allo studio del comportamento
dell’animale e della sua fisiologia mentre Nolan (Richard Harris) pensa solo a 

catturare un'orca per
venderla ad un acquario per risanare la sua situazione economica. Finisce con l’uccidere un esemplare femmina,
che abortisce. Questo gesto farà nascere nel compagno rimasto in vita una 

furia vendicatrice. L'orca
maschio comincia a seminare il panico nella cittadina dove Nolan risiede, durante la notte sperona le barche in sosta
lungo i moli arrecando danni ingenti................


Storyline

After witnessing his mate and
child's death from Nolan's hands, Orca, the killer whale, goes on a rampage in the fishermen's harbor. Under the
villagers' pressure, Nolan, Rachel and an Indian sail after the 

great beast, who will bring them on his own
turf.
